SPEC- Johnson’s Baby Email
This speculative project was to create a promotional email for the new Johnson’s Baby Conditioner. The email is targeted at parents of children ages 0-2 years. They are looking to purchase the highest quality products for their children. The email is designed to promote the new conditioner that keep their babies’ hair soft and their scalp moisturised. The primary focus of the email is to have the reader visit the Johnson’s baby website to learn more about the product, and to use the discount to buy the product.
The email subject line is benefit driven and the snippet provides a concise description to compliment it. The headline in the email leads with the classic Johnson’s Baby ‘No More Tears’ which is recognisable to most people. The body copy uses Johnson’s Baby sincere, helpful tone to explain it’s features and convey the deep benefits of purchasing this product. The CTA (Call To Action) button is promotional and urgent, tying the whole email together.

This speculative project was aimed at working adults aged 24-40. They are employed full time and live with family members. They have busy schedules with very little time to cook and/or live with fussy eaters. They’re bored of the same dinners and have been looking at prepped meal delivery options. They have visited the HelloFresh website and have subscribed to the email list, receiving this as their Welcome Email. The main objective of this email is to inspire new potential customers to use the discount call to action and order their first box. The email should create product awareness and increase the volume of subscribing customers.
The tone is light and inviting, with the copy from the email subject right through to the end driving home the exclusive discount available for first-time customers. There is also secondary information in the email body to help solidify their decision through clear benefits and an eye-catching call to action. Email Newsletters - Leader Executive Search
This is an ongoing project designed to provide regular information and insight into the market trends, recruitment and upcoming news and events. Apart from these monthly and quarterly newsletters, I also created a series of mailers to inform the subscribers about new podcast episodes for The Leader Insight Series. The main objective of these emails was to increase engagement and awareness of the podcast as well as inform subscribers of upcoming articles, market information and news.
The CEO and Founder Jonathan O’Hagan was keen to have his emails reflect his personable yet informative tone. So all the email copy has been created in his brand voice - friendly and helpful while still providing insightful knowledge and information. The emails have now generated an increased (and sustained) open rate of 24.8% compared to the industry average of 21.3%
Podcast Episode Update
Weekly emails sent out to a subscriber list of 3000+ informing them of new podcast episodes. The emails were designed to provide information about the guest and capture the essence of the conversations in an interesting way to engage with the reader and entice them to listen to the episode.
Market Update Newsletter
A quarterly update sent out to the subscriber list to inform them of upcoming articles, news, market trends and predictions. Designed to be packed full of insightful information that the readers can benefit from, the email had links to various articles, new podcast episodes and information about upcoming partnerships as well as an insight into the recruitment and market trends for the new year.
